Compare 4–14-hour fishing charters, destination minimums, travel time and the chef and meal inclusions at each trip length.

Start with how much of the day your group wants to spend at sea. Then consider whether you're looking for a general fishing outing or a trip to a particular offshore fishing area.
All the lengths below include departure from Marina Nuevo Vallarta, travel to the fishing area and the return journey. They aren't hours of fishing alone.
Compare example trip lengths
General daytime charters are available in whole-hour steps from four to fourteen hours. The examples below show how shorter and longer trips differ; a named offshore route has its own minimum.
- Four hours — sportfishing: the shortest standard option, worth considering if you want a smaller part of the day aboard.
- Six hours — sportfishing: a middle option if four hours feels short but you don't want an eight-hour outing.
- Eight hours — sportfishing: a longer day aboard, with chef service included. It doesn't automatically include a named offshore destination.
- Ten hours — Roca Corbeteña: a separate trip for groups specifically interested in this offshore fishing area.
- Fourteen hours — El Banco: the longest of these day trips, to an offshore area farther out.
Choosing the length of a general fishing trip
If your group is trying fishing for the first time, or some people are mainly coming for the ride, consider how long everyone would enjoy being aboard. Choosing fewer hours is a reasonable starting point.
Before paying for more time, ask what it would make possible on your date. Conditions affect the route, and a longer booking doesn't guarantee a particular fish. Our first fishing trip guide covers preparation and what to bring.
Roca Corbeteña or El Banco: choosing a destination
These are separate itineraries, rather than destinations automatically included when you extend a standard trip. Roca Corbeteña has a ten-hour minimum and can be extended to fourteen hours. El Banco requires fourteen hours.
Travel is a substantial part of either day. If reaching one of these fishing areas is your priority, start with that trip page and discuss the current outlook with us. Availability and the route depend on sea conditions.
Compare the inclusions as well as the hours
Food and drink inclusions change with the length. Chef service is included from eight hours; ten- to fourteen-hour trips include two meal services. Our pricing guide has the full breakdown and extra-guest charges.
Overnight expeditions are a separate option, priced in consecutive 24-hour periods with smaller sleeping capacities. They aren't calculated as several eight-hour fishing days.
